Scoring Process
Each person on a team is given points for how they finish in a
race. Racers on the first place team receive points equal to the
number of teams starting the race, so that in a race with five
teams each person on the winning team received five points. Racers
on the second place team receive one less point than racers on
the first place team, racers on the third place team receive one
less point than racers on the second place team, etc. Teams that
tie receive the same number of points, which equal to one less
point than the team(s) placing ahead of them. Teams that DNF will
tie, and come in last place, receiving the number of points for
that placing, i.e. in a race with five teams, with no ties among
the teams that finish, racers on the two teams that DNF each receive
two points (tieing for 4th place).
