The day started out cold, 30 degrees at race start with no wind.  I was paired with Rich Capener, my same partner from the Old Pueblo race. Our team name was Dirty Deeds in the Duo male category.  The course is a great course with 1450 feet of climbing per lap (13 miles), fast downhill sections and fun technical sections along and down the mesa face to the finish. The temperature warmed up as soon as the sun came up over the horizon with a slight wind kicking up throughout the day.  We started out on a good pace and held it for most of the day.  We finished 4th overall in the Duo division with 9 laps in 11 hours and 29 minute, loosing only to 3 sponsored teams which came down from Durango.  All in all it was another good race for Team Dirty Deeds, we just need to kick it up a notch and compete a little better with the Durango contingent next time.   Race results, times, and photos can be seen at www.dawntilduskrace.com - Gavin Flury
